Rothy’s is best known for its machine-washable flats—which are popular among regular shoppers and Duchesses alike. But for its next move, the San Francisco-based brand is actually coming for your fall wardrobe.

Launched today, The Chelsea is Rothy’s first boot style that enlists the brand’s signature recycled and repurposed materials, this time it’s in an easy slip-on silhouette.

One of the most impressive part of the Rothy’s business is its commitment to sustainability. Since its inception, the brand has been weaving its signature styles from recycled plastic fibers (not that the naked eye can tell), and focusing on production that puts minimal stress on the environment. But chances are greater its reputation is more closely tied to Rothy’s most famous fan: Meghan Markle. The Duchess of Sussex has famously worn the brand’s pointed-toe style on more than one occasion.

Whereas the Duchess prefers the brand’s signature flats, the latest style looks similar to the popular lug-sole-silhouette trend so prominent on the Fall 2019 runway. The sustainable make-up remains the same, though.
